Giavana Neff
| Lead vocals, percussion. A native San Diegan, Giavana was influenced by her grandparents' love of singing to the great music of the Masters: The Ink Spots, Phil Harris, Marty Robbins, Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, and Etta James. She developed her prodigious talent around her favorite American stylist, Teresa Brewer, one of the 50's most prolific country, jazz and R & B singers. Her passion for the blues has been influenced by Shemekia Copeland, Susan Tedeschi, Melissa Etheridge, and Danielle Nicole Schnebelen. Giavana now puts her talent to the public stage as a founding member of Blues Kitchen. Day gig: High School Math Teacher. |
